Teaching has been an important part of my life for well over 15 years. I have taught English as a foreign and second language since 1996. I began teaching English in Russia, and I presently live the U.S. I have been working online as an instructor and content creator since 2007. I also like to create materials to share with other teachers. My Pearson-sponsored blog won the 2010 EDDIE Award in the category of ESL Website Blog. Students likely know me best as JenniferESL on YouTube. I am tremendously happy to have over two hundred thousand subscribers worldwide. In 2011 my channel was recognized in YouTube's "On the Rise" contest.
Since 2010, I have contributed more actively within professional circles. I have presented at the annual TESOL and MATSOL conventions in addition to giving professional development webinars. From March 2011 to March 2014, I served as a member of the TESOL Book Publications Committee. I remain an active member of the Materials Writers Interest Section.
I also have materials available offline. I have had the good fortune to be able to work with very skilled educators. I co-authored the Vocabulary Power series, contributed materials to New Password, and was on the writing team for Pearson’s hybrid series Next Generation Grammar, for which I also appear as the video Grammar Coach.
I am very excited to teach here on WizIQ, and I look forward to helping you reach your language goals.
